Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

It's sort of ironic...

Day Men Vol. 1 - Matt Gagnon, Michael Alan Nelson, Brian Stelfreeze

That I'm going to mention how gorgeous the art is when there's no cover to this book.   if I had the time, or energy, I'd put one up, but...

As it is, I don't thinK I've read this whole thing.   I only got three issues in the humble bundle, and I believe this has four - but it's not like I can find issue numbers anywhere.   Which, yeah, let's talk about how nuts that drives me!

Anyway, yeah, beautiful art, just sublime.   Clear, colorful, emotive, action packed, and everything I'd want from art in a graphic novel.

The writing, the story, takes on vampire clans and focuses on the day men - the humans they use to conduct business and protect them when it's day time, and they're, pun intended, dead to the world.   And the day men?   They're fascinating, especially why they would do this, and the loyalty they have for the families - and are forced to keep.   The character interactions and dialogue are sparkling, full of life, and true to life, and I really want to see what happens next!
