I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Work, then migraine so bad I went got food and went home instead of the studio, then whining and pissing and moaning and crying. Nap. Felt better, braved the real world to go to my friend's Tuesday night movie night, felt so unexpectedly shitty that I left after an hour. Was so stubborn I went to pick up Rocket Raccoon - one of the graphic novels - at the library, checked mail, and got my second copy of American Elsewhere. (To those who were reading my Readercon posts/remember, I had a faulty printing, mentioned it to the author after people said he'd want to know because I found the missing info in the Kindle sample. So, y'know, I wasn't going to mention it at all. His agent was there, and promised to send me a new signed copy, and she did. She is amazing.)
So, I saw the pre-show I like at my friend's house, got a good nap in, had a nice surprise at home... but ugh. I'm sitting in a dark room with the light on the computer turned low so my head doesn't explode. Sometimes heat and humidity can make things worse. I have the AC on, and may take a cold shower before I jump into bed and sleep for the night. Which is a shame. I really wanted to start Rocky Raccoon!
