I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Jane Yolen's story was amazing! My favorite by far so far. This is all fairytale retelling's told from the point of view of the 'villains.' Of course, the line between hero and villain aren't as clear cut as they appear in the original fairytales, but after so many stories, and occasional poems, of that line being blurred, this felt like a truly unique take on the troll.
I've heard fantastic things about Yolen's writing, but haven't read any of her books. I want to read more of them, now!
