I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I did get a couple books.
Teeth and City of the Lost were on sale. I'm hoping to see Datlow again at the signing in the dealer's room. I also got another edited by Datlow earlier at New England Mobile Bookfair. I found my copy of the Brain Thief because the author is going to be on a panel this year. I didn't see him around last year, so I'm going to try to give him big eyes and get him to sign that this year.
City of the Lost just looked too good.
My dad rolled his eyes at me over the phone - which is super impressive - when I told him I had a raspberry lemonade and peanut butter brownie for dinner. *shamed because he is right* I'm going to get a salad for dinner. And my mom was near him and told me to have fun. I think I go out to things like this so infrequently - crowds *shudder* - that she's super excited I like this one enough to come back again and again :D I try not to make her worry, but I can't help it sometimes!
Aaargh. I understand that this is free-for-all night thus no dealer room. (Also, they need some time to set up!) But I always want to go immediately into the room with the books for sale! It's cruel and unusual punishment to have all those books for sale so close and not let me get my grubby little hands on them. *wants wants wants*
