Notes I have when I didn't have net access and forgot to post here. Mostly more bitching about Shockwave.
Page 148: Six Lasers. It’s still ridiculous that they have an amusement park named after Six Flags. And makes no sense. They have none of the same history as we do, and the assume they’d find the same kind of amusement, have the same system of parks, and name it the same exact thing.
“He had him put in an isolation cell, but even from outside the door he could hear a contented humming and snickering that put him in such a foul mood that he ruined his next two experiments.”
Yes, this sounds completely logical. What the fuck is going on with Shockwave? This is not logical. Does not compute, does not compute…
Page 149: “Shockwave brooded, lonely and betrayed, in his tower, and vowed to get them back. They were his, after all. His children. Yes. And he would have them, the ungrateful brats. he would prove himself a determined father and they would come to love him for his unswerving devotion to their development, one day. When needing to prove your right because you know best, dammit, brooding, loneliness and betrayal motivate you to beat the rightness into someone, not so much with the logic.
