I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I needed something for me today. I just woke up feeling like I was going to burst into tears, so it was back to Wolverine comics. What can I say? Jason Aaron is amazing. And whir I like Bachao's art a little more than Bradshaw's, they're both excellent artists.
There are multiple story lines within this graphic novel, from the Brood, and where Broo fits into the system - of the school, and of the universe, to the need for cash which results in an alien casino excursion, to the new Hellfire club targeting the school. All are told at the same time, and resolved in their own time, and they're balanced perfectly.
But even better than the action is the character interaction. Each character is distinct, each is perfectly in character, and the cast is colorful and laugh-out-loud funny. As a bonus, there's an extra with live tweets from each episode, which made me laugh even more.
