I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Despite the brutality, the real cruelty is that this is a cliffhanger ending! I'm actually sort of glad that I held off on this until at least a couple more episodes were out. I'm going to force myself to read Bay's End, and a couple others by Lorn, and then devour this. I also normally hate cliffhangers, but E. made it relatable, by saying he was trying to do it like a television series. It was so honest, so clear, that I knew what I was getting into.
I'm still mad at the ending, but only because I have stuff I'm gonna end up reading - just committed to two buddy reads, and Lorn's, and Elly's books - before I get to this. *Whines*
Because Primus, this... this is amazing. It just gets creepier and creepier, and when you think you've understood things? E. pulls the rug out from under you. Suddenly you're on your ass, wondering how you got there. I feel like I do when James Roberts and John Barber play with my feels like they were yo-yos, honestly. (< -- Don't worry, guys, I just named two of my favorite authors.)
Also, wants more. Waaaants.
See the unrelated GIF? Well, this book turns me on about as much as that. Plus, it deserves this kind of sexy.
