I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I may need to take a break from this, too.
I'm enjoying it, although I'm also torn; parts of it are really well done, although it could have used a good editing. The writing itself is competent, for the most part, and there's a large cast of characters that all fit into the story surprisingly well. I enjoy vigilante stories, and I'm interested in the fact that this is a racially motivated vigilante story.
Then there are the downsides. Even a quick proofread would benefit this story. Because I'm enjoying the story, and the sentences themselves - again, for the most part - make sense, the typos aren't as huge a deal for me as they might have been. The huge plot hole that a cop planted a gun on someone while a crowd was watching, though? I don't buy it.
I don't buy that the DA would ignore this, either. I'm rolling with it for now, because it seems like the story hinges on it, but it's distracting me a little, which is why I may switch stories at least for tonight.
