I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Favorite classic book?
How about the Count of Monte Cristo? Brilliant, and it spoke to me on a purely emotional level. Yes, yes, there was a lot more to it than the emotions it evoked, but it was all building up to that emotional release at the end.
And I don't know why, but I clearly remember the emotional response aspect as *the* thing I loved most about this book.
Sadly, I haven't reread it in a while - so I'll be rereading it in French soon.
