Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

Well, and a question.   I want more geeky comic/media tie-in type stuff.   Transfomrers?   Got them covered.   Supernatural?   I own all the novels, and Bobby Singer's guide, and John's journal.   

So, has anyone seen Pacific Rim or read the novelization?   Worth it or not?   I thought it would be a really bad Transformers knock off and never saw/read it.   Plus, I really, really love the Transformers characters, so I thought I might be let down.   I'm craving more robot fiction, though, and yeah...    So, help there would be much appreciated if anyone has any information at all on that. 

I like Buffy, but with the exception of the season 8, had trouble really saying I liked too much of the fiction put out.   I love Firely, Angel, Dollhouse, pretty much anything Whedon related.   Loved the recent Marvel novelizations, of Iron Man's Extremis arc, and Astonishing X-Men's Gifted arc.  

Any other suggestions?    My inner nerd says, 'feed me!'  Please?
