I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I wasn't sure exactly what the storyline would be, but I'm pleased with it: after being run over by a truck, Matt Murdock's body is feeling all his old, badly healed injuries coming back to haunt him. It was only a matter of time before being Daredevil and not having proper medical treatment all of the time was going to come back to haunt him, and now is that time.
It's how Matt and Foggy deal with this, and it's beautifully done. Heartbreaking and gorgeous.
Unfortunately, I feel the art isn't up to the job, so much so that I knocked off one and a half stars. I'd drop this, but I want to see it through, I'm a Daredevil fanatic, and this is only five issues. I'm also super eager for the regular series, written by a favorite author, coming in February, and I think this will end up tying into that storyline.
