I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
But I'm also in anguish; this was perfect, but also twist the knife in further. I'm not sure what's going to happen in the February reboot, or if Matt Murdock will be in it, but I'm sure going to find out knowing that Chip Zdarsky will be writing.
I wasn't sure what I'd do give that I loved Soule's writing so much but Zdarsky is a fine choice to follow Soule's run.
Love, love, love this perfect ending; I'm crushed because I care about the way Soule has but up the character and his world, I'm crushed because I didn't see this coming until the end, and it all makes perfect sense.
This series has been heart-wrenching since the beginning and it came to a fittingly heart-wrenching end.
There have been some wins, but this epitomizes the series, is a microcosm of what made the whole series so good; it's realistic about the ups and downs. Just absolutely perfect. I do hope the title to the storyline isn't too literal and that Murdock does make it through, though..
