Reading progress update: I've read 132 out of 150 pages.
The rest of this is an excerpt from the next companion novella, and the truth is that I'm just not feeling this world or these characters. No, that's not true, I nearly cried a couple times so I'm responding to this emotionally.
I just am not into the world enough and am not emotionally invested enough to want to read the excerpt. Excellent writing, excellent world building, excellent plot, just not my thing.
