Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Inhumans: Once And Future Kings (2017) #2 (of 5) - Gustavo Duarte, Nick Bradshaw, Ryan North, Phil Noto, Christopher Priest

So, yeah, I forgot to add the cover, but it doesn't really do Phil Noto's art inside justice.   Just perfection!   And Christopher Priest is nailing this.  Lead by an Alpha Primative, a human turned slave by the Inhumans, Black Bolt, Medusa, and Maximus are now in the human world - thanks to Lockjaw.   They're unsure of if they're being used or not, but if they aren't?   It means there's to be a coup in Attilan and they're in danger.

So they navigate the human world, in the hopes of finding the truth and allies, even as enemies - and family - track them down.   The Seeker is more of a danger than Karnak, who simply wants to find his brother, Triton - one of my favorite Inhumans, so yes to this storyline.   Triton's been captured on Earth, by humans who believe he's an alien and are trying to communicate with him.

But even if this weren't a brilliantly written series, this would be worth it just for the art alone which is some of the most gorgeous I've seen in comics.  I don't really follow Phil Noto, but every time I see his art, I remember why I love him so damn much.
