I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Red Skull is making his play against the Avengers and the world, using the mind-controlled Uncanny Avengers to attack their former teammate. Deadpool, who happens to be immune to telepathic control, is the only one left to fight back, and although he calls on Avengers from other teams, they may not be enough to hold off the Red Skull.
The Red Skull can communicate with Wade telepathically, and does so, taunting him about how he'll kill the Avengers and he'll make it as painful as possible for them all, even as Deadpool stalks The Red Skull himself.
This has been building up for a while, and I understand why it's not resolved yet: this is too big to be rushed. I actually appreciate that most comic authors appreciate that, and the fine line they have to walk. Go too quickly and they don't really make a fully realized impact, as they ignore some of the aspects that aren't just punching your enemy in the face or shooting him in the head. Go too slowly and the audience gets bored.
This was a lot of screwing with Wade's mind, and I feel for him. People have been doing that to him all his life, so he's used to it, in a way that means he is, for the most part, free to just get things done. Then again, it all adds up.
Beautifully done and I hope this concludes next issue. I"m also starting to wonder if Cap planted Deadpool as an Avenger to finger-point when things go wrong, if he needs to. Then again, from what I understand Nazi-Cap is going to be dealt with soon enough.
