I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
And it's pretty epic, especially since Pepper didn't know about the Stark AI and she's stunned. Still, she wants to talk to Riri, not Stark, and she does. She finds a young girl, trusting even when she warns her of all the dangers that trust entails, and I think she just might be intrigued.
I'm sure she's also questioning why Stark chose her, and why he sent the AI to Riri and not to Pepper herself. He obviously is happy to see her, and I feel she isn't so happy. Not horrified to see him again, not completely unwilling to talk to him, but he's clearly not her priority.
There are some good one-liners, and mostly a lot of warmth between Pepper and Riri. They are two women caught up in the world of superheroes and while they don't really have this down and dirty talk about how it bonds them, I feel that there's this unspoken bond. How can there not be? Not only are they both in this world, they're both there due to Stark.
Pepper is clearly worried about Riri, and even testing her to see if Stark knew what he was doing. Oftentimes he did, but he lost his sense of perspective and made horrible choices just enough that I understand Pepper's need to pop over and see what's going on.
Another series I'll most likely continue on MU. I'm trying not to really sign up for anything else, and might quite a couple series - like Blue Beetle and Batman - to save money while I go to school.
