I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
One of the denizens of the Monster Metropolis dies, an older monster who is strong of body and weak of mind. They try to keep him reigned in because he's unable to survive outside the Metropolis. They know he'll either manage to walk into a fatal accident, or get himself killed with the humans, but they're unable to keep him boxed in this one time. When he wanders into a subway, well, armed New Yorkers. Who are used to living in a world of superheroes, supervillains, aliens, mutant, Inhumans, robots, monsters, and more. They fire without stopping to ask what this new potential threat is - and if he's even a threat.
He is not. Feeble minded, yes, but not mean, not willing to lash out even as he dies. But it brings the tension between Shiklah, and her world, and the human world to a head. She calls upon all those monsters to take back part of the world for themselves.
Monster versus New York.
Marvel's New York.
Hmmm. Not sure how this is going to play out.
