But Laurence could not quite bring himself to regret it; Levitas was clearly neglected, and it in no way fit his sense of duty to leave the creature in discomfort.

So... so much love for Laurence right now. And no, no one should leave Levitas hurting, especially given how much England needs its dragons right now, and how a big deal is made of other countries having more dragons than England. How is it possible that the men responsible for the care of the dragons are allowed to continue treating this situation with such a contemptible attitude?
I'm slightly disgusted with a lot of the meatbags in this book...
