I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I picked this up because I was reminded that there's a new CW show coming called Riverdale. And I bought this, and although I wasn't in on everything that happened between the last issue I read, and this, I didn't feel lost. Everything was pretty much explained.
Archie is broken hearted over Veronica having been forced out of town. Her father sent her away to boarding school, where she meets Cheryl Blossom and gets in an epic war. Meanwhile, Archie doesn't want to feel so poorly so he decides to become like Jughead and manages to mess up planning his parents' anniversary party. His friends pick up the slack, while worrying about him.
Back at boarding school, Veronica makes what's supposed to be the final move to eradicate Cheryl, but it backfires badly.
It's charming me: it's fun, it's fresh, and I always found Archie comics a little too dumb for me. This is anything but.
