Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Two civil wars....

The Mighty Thor (2015-) #4 - Jason Aaron, Russell Dauterman

One is ending - the one between the dark and light elves - and one is starting.   While this issue deals a lot with how the elves end their war - a marriage - and what a mistake this is on the light elves' side of things, a good deal has to do with Freya's trial and Odin's tyranny and how that's stirring up the war in Asgard.

And a lot is said, not only about tyranny, but about oppression and how it can't last.   It has a lot to do with the patriarchy being unable to change.

And it's fun.  Loki's 'other-daddy' and 'hey, mommy, we have matching chains' lines are great - although I may paraphrase the last.   There's also enough of a fight starting up at the end to make a nice tease for the next issue which is being tagged as Thor Vs. Odin.

Onto that, yes, please.
