Legal immigrants, and a father and son who are cops to boot. What happens when the father is killed? Well, the son, bitter by the mistrust he faces daily, decides to take justice into his own hands. It's easier when he can follow Castle to his quarry.
Except that there's more to this than a simple tale of vengeance: there's a lot about how trust is earned, what it means to be good and does that always include being lawful, and what happens when religious adherence to the law fails someone.
It's a rich, deep story that captivated me, but it also lacked the ferocity of Cloonan's writing, and stories, and so I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the regular series.
