I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
This series looks like it might have wrapped up it's first arc: everything is settled, and although I found it slightly disappointing in an anti-climatic way, I don't know how else they could have ended this. It just seemed like the final blow wasn't quite as explosive or exciting as the rest of the fight.
That being said: it was nigh impossible odds, and yet the skill sets of everyone on the team came together. They needed them all, and they used them all. Anticlimactic, perhaps, but still perfect in how reasonably this all came together.
Although someone else I know hates that they break this up into two parts - the main story and then backstory for one particular character - because Jim Lee can't keep up with running DC - apparently that's a thing now? - and also illustrating this, I'm finding I love it. It gives me the team dynamic, but also allows me to get to know the characters one-on-one and therefore more intimately. It works for me, so I'm not going to complain.
Fun times! I'm glad I've started to expand into the DC universe. Marvel is my first love and I don't see that changing anytime soon, but I never suspected I'd love DC this much - and I do.
