I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
The same as the last volume: nostalgic value but this was the episodes as they were shown, and nothing more. I prefer even novelizations and adaptations to have a little more, some kind of insight. If I had a couple complaints - and I do have two - it’s that there’s nothing new and some of the art moves me less. Again, it ranged from spectacular to so-so for me. The episode that moves me most - Shadows, exploring the themes of family and justice through a atypical ghost story - had very good technical art that didn’t feel as emotive to me. Although the art was excellent, I thought it lacked the appeal of the other episodes art.
Nothing that I’d buy on my own, but a very nice addition to the X-Files Humble Bundle.
