I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I suspect that giving away the first six books for free was a mistake on the publishers part, or that Amazon gave them away as part of a promotion or publicity stunt for the next volume. Regardless of why, I picked them up: a friend had linked to them and raved about them, so I figured that I might want them all if I decided to read them. I didn't for a long time, as reading them in black and white wasn't the same, I couldn't use a tablet, and it wasn't available on the Kindle apps for my laptop or phone for a while. (And reading a couple comics was uncomfortable on my phone on the Kindle app.)
I started reading this after Amazon bought Comixology and then after you were able to merge accounts; I could read my Kindle graphic novels on my favorite digital graphic novel reader? Yes, thank you!
I'm also catching up on reviews as I read this October first. I'm also in a lousy mood because my check engine light went on last night and it was supposed to have been dealt with last week.
So these are going to be short reviews. Basically, same thing as the last two: this furthers the story while building on the world and characters that have already been created and introduced to us, while introducing new elements and characters. It's quite, it's fun, and I find myself absolutely addicted to this series.
