I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I picked this up because I like Charles Soule. I love his work on Daredevil and Uncanny Inhumans. So, yeah, I picked this up fro the library. I was skeptical about this power couple, but also intrigued. It seemed like a lot of fan service, but I can get behind some well done fan service.
I liked that Soule set up road blocks in their relationship and not just the kind that hit back. There was a lot of differences in how they see themselves, each other, and the world that came up and made them doubtful of their relationship.
I took a star off: it didn't feel as deep as it could be, but it sure was fun, and I'm willing to give this time to get a little less shallow. Overall, that didn't get in the way of me enjoying this, and the art was spectacular.
I'm going to pick up, or get in, volume two to give this another shot because I blew through volume one.
