I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
So, first of all, I was hesitant to read this. It just looked kind of blah and then this happened:
Kittens! So many kittens! And it's so cute!
Oaf is actually really interesting: he just wants everything not to die, and so he's a vegetarian. He makes dolls and runs a kitten orphanage. Seriously, I think I want him to be my best friend. (He's gay and I'm not into meat, so there would be zero sexual tension.)
He's a little clueless, a little naive, and very, very lovable.
This book is also incredibly wrong in some ways. Like I saw this and started laughing uncontrollably:
