I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
This is just a perfect Punisher series.
Brutality, along with a heaping dose of punishment. And while I'm not usually a fan of this artist, I've loved his work on Preacher and on this - and at least one other - Punisher series. HIs style simply fits those brutal and twisted worlds.
Love, love, love. Especially love how Punisher takes care of this little girl: you've known it was coming, you knew how it was going to end, but it's a stark reminder of the fact that Frank Castle may be a mass murdered, but he's very organized. He knows who he's going after, and it isn't the innocent: children are off the table. It's been a hot button issue for him. People who use children as soldiers in their war have drawn his ire, and it's the case once again.
Brutal, chilling, and yet Castle draws his lines in the sand once again. Looking forward to issue four.
PS - yay! I suck at catching up on reviews if I leave them too long and I had the time between missing the traffic and registration for Readercon opening so I caught up on reviews.
