I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I have someone who was sewing and the pin cushion fell on the floor. They thought it was in a safe place and it was - until it fell.
I stepped on it, as it was covered by a blanket. I not only stepped on it, but stepped on it hard.
So please consider leaving all your sharp things somewhere high, or with a ledge where it can't fall on the floor. Let this be a cautionary tale. I'm laughing it off; it hurts, but there isn't that much blood and I can walk, so no real foul. I was more surprised than anything.
Just in case there is something longer, deeper, or a risk of more of an injury, please let my tale be a cautionary one. I wouldn't want you or your loved ones to run afoul of something worse than a pin cushion.
