Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Boy, these are short and quick reads

Transformers Robots in Disguise: Autobot World Tour - Steve Foxe

Cute, fun, more in character than the last.   I had enough fun reading this, I'm willing to invest in and read more, if only because there isn't as much Transformers prose for adults. And sometimes, a girl just needs her bots.

It really helps that I adore both Grimlock and Windblade. While this was split between two teams, and I could have been bored if they were both on one team - I would have wanted to get back to that team and resented not being with my two favorites - but they were on separate teams.   The teams seemed balanced and to have put the characters that work best together, too.

Bumblebee, Strongarm and Grimlock on one team while Windblade, Sideswipe, an injured Optimus Prime and Drift and his two minibots - Slipstream and Jetstorm - were the other team.   Two different missions that didn't intersect, and yet this book played both stories out nicely, using one and then the other and a minor incident at the end that almost tied them together.   (But didn't really.)

This will be my read on vacation book for summer bingo since I don't really take vacations other than weekends at the summer house my parents own.   That counts, right?
