I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
And in fact, I got that bag for this and the second issue in this series. So far, it's been worth it: this series is less humorous than Aaron's Doctor Strange, but it's a lot of fun and also feels like it's important. Jane Foster is Thor, despite having cancer, despite the fact that being Thor negates the effect of her chemotherapy.
Because how can she not be Thor? How can she not protect people who would otherwise have no protection? She's also hiding the fact that she's Thor, mostly because Odin has proclaimed her a false Thor - even though his son had his hammer taken from him by circumstances beyond anyone's control and given his name away freely to Jane. He's also asked to have this female Thor taken in on sight.
Still, there's a lot to be found here, about mortality, about the quality of life, about what a God can accomplish versus what a mortal can accomplish. (Jane asks herself why she doesn't stay Thor if turning back to Jane is killing her. Because, she decides, Thor can't take care of everything.)
Loving this so far!
Especially the ass shot here:
