Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

So, this is getting better.

Karnak (2015-) #4 - Gerardo Zaffino, Warren Ellis, David Aja

A little more of the Karnak I remember is coming back: fearless, because he refuses to allow himself to feel fear, logical and determined, and just scary as fuck.   He also asks someone if they're scared of him, and when they say yes, he offers to take them to the Tower of Wisdom and have them spend time there.   Fear is an awful thing, he says, but perhaps that agent can learn to banish it, which is quite frankly more compassionate than I've seen from him yet.

It only adds another aspect to him, and I'm in awe of how Ellis is building him up, when he does.   I am absolutely loving this series again, although none of the issues past one have lived quite up to the debut in my mind.

Still, it's got me energized about this series once more, so I'm looking forward to issue 5, and I hadn't been all that thrilled to get issue four.
