I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

What the fuck?

Avengers West Coast (1985-1994) #53 - John Byrne, John Byrne

Wanda is, by this time, so traumatized she is catatonic: her husband has been disassembled, his memories erased, then put back together.   Her children, really a manifestation of her desire which caught two parts of Mephisto's soul, have been integrated back into Mephisto once again, and her memories of them erased, and then some other shit in an Annual I haven't read yet.

She is fucking catatonic.   What the fuck is wrong with Jan that she's like 'but you love her, so withhold your brain patterns from the Vision so you can have her when she wakes up?'   Isn't the most important part getting her to be responsive to the world again

I'm starting to think that Janet is a total fucking raging bitch.   I hate her right now.   And you know how I feel, in general, about Wanda.   But this fucking bullshit?   So angry right now.

When Simon wants to get her to safety, this is what it looks like:

She's all limp because, y'know, house burning down around her and she still isn't responding.

But, yes, Jan, the most important thing is keeping her husband from her as she remembered him, because that totally wasn't a stressor before she went catatonic.    Who needs enemies with friends like these?
