I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Another grab bag read. And I love this one! So far, these are really worth the price: I get to try series I think I might be interested in and I get some truly fantastic reads. This just happens to be one of the better reads in these bags. (All-New Wolverine was definitely worth the price of one bag despite the angst it brought out in me, and then this one? Oh, yes.)
The writing and art are both equally amazing: the writing is slick, and gets right to the point, and the art is a clean style while also managing to be incredibly expressive. Basically, since they both work in the same way, the script and the art complement each other perfectly.
A recent mistake has caught Kate off guard and is causing tension between her and Clint as they plan a minor raid. There's also another storyline that ties into the tension, but takes place twenty years into the future. I certainly want to see how this plays out - but I may wait for the MU to get this series since I'll be paying for it anyway and this should come up soon. I'm also a little behind now and I despite having holes in my collections when I start seriously reading a series.
Still, I'm intrigued and this reminds me that I have to finish the previous run of Hawkeye. At the very least, this shiny old-new obsession will distract me from the whole new Wolverine thing.
