I think what bothers me is the lack of consistency as he's usually drawn like this: 

 

 

Oh, and his junk.   WHY IS IT SO... PROMINENT?   And trust me, he is not talking anything that he usually finds erection worthy here: it's all science.   Spider-Man is not well known for finding science that exciting in this kind of way. 

 

Overall, I can see how this is setting up the next storyline, but it felt like another stop-gap in between-y filler story.   Slightly disappointing, and I hope Marvel steps it up next month to make up for this month...
