I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
There is no Matt Murdock; there is only The Beast of The Hand. And it's going to take all the heroes to save Matt, if he can be saved. (He can be. He continues on beyond this.)
I think it's a testament to Matt how many people are willing to risk their lives to save him. He gets beaten down, and yes, sometimes he needs recovery time from the physical, emotional, and mental abuse, but he always puts the suit back on. Everyone is in awe of how he can manage to do that, and I'm amazed by the way he never gives up, no matter the trauma he goes through.
See, he's just too good, he believes to much in justice and what is right, to give up, ever. And everyone knows what a good man he is. Which is why they come to help him.
Also, note that him killing someone - a serial killer who's killed two of his girlfriends and was calling him out again - was the reason people knew he was off. He is not a killer, at all.
I hope they can snap him out of it soon, and I know they can because there's only one issue.
