I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Here's where N claims she's EP. And yes, I'm using initials to make it harder for them to get direct hits off this. Here's her book on EC's site. If you click on her name, like I did, you find her reviews.
She reviews two EC titles here and here. No mention that she's also written for them, so the reviews seem unbiased. They are not. They are, in fact, part of the same series so when you go to the scrollbars for the titles, EP's show up along with the other in those series. Tricky, there.
If not for that, I probably wouldn't have even dug deeper to see that she wrote this review for someone who's in an anthology with AL who does have current books out with EC. It's a more tenuous tie, but it is there.
She also wrote this review, for this author, with no note that she knows him personally.

In fact, she calls him Sensei, so I'm assuming that she's getting something from him, too?

At least one of Sensei's books is put out by Sizzler Editions, so in fact there is a business aspect to this, too. Again, quite clever, had to dig a bit, but this seems a bit unethical at best.
I've reported the ones with direct connections to writing companies.
So, yeah, this is just really not right in my opinion. If you feel so compelled, you can report all, one, two, three... or not report. Either way, you at least know not to trust her reviews to be unbiased.
