Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Cute, fluffy, but not a favorite of mine

Noragami 1: Stray God - Adachi Toka

Yato, a god with no followers, tries to drum up business.   Although he's a warrior god, he'll take any job - fighting off bullies, finding a cat - to get people to start paying him.   Five yen a pop, and with more belief, and worship, he can make a name for himself.

It's cute, it's fluffy, and I liked some of the ideas.  I didn't like Yato, who was too arrogant, very much.   Nor did I feel like I enjoyed enough interaction between Yato and the other characters to like this much.

Add into the mix that I've seen a lot of ghost/afterlife in the manga and anime series I've read and watched, and nope, not gonna continue this.  (Maybe if it had done something truly original with the concepts, but I don't felt it did that, either.)  I did get it for one dollar on sale, so I felt like it was worth the price, worth reading once, but I doubt I'll read it again.
