Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Pleasantly surprised!

Hulk Volume 1: Banner DOA - Marvel Comics

I wasn't that fond of the last Waid Hulk series I'd tried, so would i like this one?  I was willing to push through to get to Duggan taking over the authorial reigns, but I wasn't sure I'd like this volume.

It kept my interest, it was very action based, and yet it managed to explore what a scenario with a brain damaged Hulk would be like.   I was especially impressed by everyone's reaction to this news: his friends fought back against Maria Hill and SHIELD when they found out what had happened, insisting the Avengers could take care of him better than SHIELD could.

Good for them.

Now onto Duggan's run.   And I love Duggan, so I'm hoping I'll like the next volume more.
