I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
And best of all, it's going to continue next year! I still would love to see a novel, and yes, I'm aware I'd have to pay for that. I would willingly, no gratefully, pay for a longer piece set in this world.
It's fun, gory, and takes all the old tropes, turns them on their head, and makes them new, creepy, and yeah, that's the fun.
This year, the Naughty try and blackmail Santa Claus, believing that his cherry picking good children to give toys to is making children be good. It's a little simplistic, but the Naughty seem a little slow on the uptake on the whole, so it sounds like it would make sense to them.
Santa has to find an unlikely ally, and go to an even unlikelier place to make sure he beats the Naughty, without letting them control him.
And while we end on 'this will continue next year' note, yay, at least we know it's going to continue next year. I'm looking forward to number three in what has turned out to be a series!
