I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
I read this like thirty minutes ago. I can't read, I can't play games, I can't do anything: this was an emotionally draining, and crushing story, in the best of ways. It resonated with me, far more than any other Uncanny Inhuman so far. Clearly the first two issues have been leading up to this, and to the continuation of this storyline.
Ahura has been twisted by Kang's tutelage, and no one mentions that it's Black Bolt's fault. He was a father, desperate to save his son from oblivion, and furthermore this has happened. Regardless of why or how, it's happened. The Inhumans, particularly Black Bolt and Medusa, have to deal with this. Their son is a power-mad monstrosity and someone has to deal with it as soon as possible.
This is Medusa, armoring up to fight her son. Why hasn't someone thought of this before? This is an amazing concept; I stopped at this panel, read on, and scrolled back, stunned by the simplicity and epicness of this concept. Medusa. Hair armor. Perfect, especially if you know how strong her hair is. (It can't be cut unless she wishes it to be cut, by the way.)
I'm crushed, defeated. Congratulations, Ahura.
