I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
Are my singe issue reviews annoying people? I tend to get longer winded in them, unless I really can't come up with anything to say. Also, I've noted that they tend to get more hits than the multi-comic reviews. I do check numbers, because... well, multiple reasons. I'm kinda into data-crunching on my own, so I notice when something gets more hits. When I'm longer, when I get personal, or when it's a hate-crack read. Single issue reviews get more likes than the multi-comic reviews. I'm anal, this is my version of googling myself, and while I usually do it and say nothing, I'd prefer I write reviews that mean something to people. I do this for you guys as much as me. Well, almost as much: I mostly do it to chronicle my own thoughts, but I'd love these to be helpful, too.
So if you guys do have a preference, please speak up. IF there's a majority of people who would rather see them lumped together, or shorter, or more personal, I'll do all those to the best of my ability. The truth is I can critique a book like this, but I've only become enamored of Hawkeye recently, and my love is split because, Primus, I'm such a character whore. I don't have any nostalgic stories to tell about Hawkeye. But if you guys want to see that, tell me, and I'll incorporate it into my reviews. With the Hawkeye one, I tried by bringing in other things I read, so I did what I could.
That being said, this might seem kinda weird. It originally was on the bottom of my most recent review - All-New Hawkeye #2 - so it's heavy on him. I figured it was turning into its own post at that point, though.
If anyone wants to add insights to what they noticed as trends in their reviews and likes, please feel free. I think that by nailing what people like, it's helping me make my reviews more relevant to my friends and followers, and helping me sharpen my review skills.
All opinions welcome, from this is self-serving to hey, I'd like to make my reviews more relevant to my followers, too, to whatever else I didn't think about.
I've had my comments open to everyone for a while now. I'm wary about doing this, so I haven't said anything. I will shut that shit down and go back to only from people I'm following or who are following me if shit gets out of hand again.
I will also delete anything that harasses me or anyone else.
