I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Alright

Planet Hulk (2015) #1 - Mike Del Mundo, Sam Humphries, Marc Laming

Greenland is the land of Hulks.   Very clever, Marvel.   Even though some of your Hulks are red.   Or gray.

That being said, I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as I enjoyed other Battleworld titles.   I was more into the Captain America and Devil Dinosaur storyline: they're trying to find Bucky, who may or may not be dead, and the trail leads them to Greenland.

Because Cap has to find Bucky, or he'll die.   He'll just die.   Hey, he may die trying to find Bucky.   There were some flashback scenes that, along with this storyline, made me wonder how much Marvel was trying to encourage the Cap/Bucky fans, too.   Which made me laugh: they're probably not at all, but... I can't explain why those flashback scenes made think that, either.  Probably because it felt very much like generic lost love scenes without their being anything romantic in the flashbacks.

Ah, well, apparently they were more obvious with Cap/Iron Man in canon and AUs.

all this went through my head reading this.   But yes, I'd expect Hulks to have power grabs, and this is mainly what the Planet Hulk title is about.   The 'how Greenland came to be and everyone got all Hulked out' backstory was a nice add on, though.   Overall, I liked it - I just didn't love it, so three stars.
