I can't even. The point of GR is that he's a stunt driver. And the Spirit of Vengeance.
The only thing driving safely would do is make this whole mini-series more boring than it already is. (Seriously, Johnny is a number cruncher. Trust me, author, we're not reading GR because we want to see accounting going down.)
