You have two Ghost Riders who literally use the Penance Stare against each other.   This is... look, if you don't know anything about the Ghost Riders, this may not seem exciting, or oooh, scary, but it is.   The Penance Stare is pretty heavy duty stuff: they look deep, deep into your soul and reflect all your sins back at you. 

Even I - and I do not know all that much about Ghost Rider - perked up and went, well, this just a lot more interesting than turning another Angel into Lucifer.   Again.   

Because I haven't seen that done before.   Or anyone try to storm Heaven.   And yeah, Aaron throws a couple twists our way, but the stuff that happened between Johnny and Danny?  So much more interesting. 

This shouldn't have been so boring I wanted to go into a coma to escape it, because Ghost Riders using Penance Stare against each other.   That's some messed up shit right there, but given that Danny is Johnny's little brother and they were using the Penance Stare against each other while the were in Ghost Rider mode?   

That's really super fucked up.   I wanted to see where that would go.   (Ugh, and I kinda saw some of that coming.   Although not the bit that really kicked me in the teeth, although it was all tied into the boring Not-Lucifer-but-I-am-kinda-too storyline.   So boring.   So, so boring.)

So, I am going to try to finish this up, but maybe not now.
