I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
This was well written, and the dialogue felt okay until the end, where it got a bit stilted. More than that, though, the ending felt a bit rushed and forced, which was a shame, because the protagonist - a lonely kid with what appears to be an eating disorder who's bullied at school - is relatable, and it's easy to feel for him given his situation.
It all builds up to what seems like an exciting climax, and it's... not. I was prepared to love this story, and having known nothing about it except how it started? It was all this story that did it for me.
I only wish the same time and care had been taken with the ending. That would have made this spectacular.
