Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Guardians of the Galaxy #26 - Brian Michael Bendis

Especially for the Quill/Pryde relationship.  I was skeptical when it first came about, but now that they're engaged and have proven to be perfect for each other, I'm all on board.   All the way.

So when Spartax - or the guard - tracks down Peter to make him come to his father's planet, and try to force him to be president of a planet, he tries to explain he has to take Kitty with him.   Because fiancée.

Oh, Peter!   You are so adorable sometimes.

He manages to take the Guardians, by saying they're all his council.   War-things for Drax, cosmic-things for Gamora, nature-things for Groot, and raccoon-things for Rocket.   He's letting it go because he thinks it'll get him things.   And is he right.

This is mostly Peter struggling with can he rule a planet?   Especially one that's poised to become the center of the galaxy, so to speak?   (Not physically, but in a 'it's the biggest power out there now' sense.)

But it's full of really cute things.  Like Rocket getting washed, which leads to this:

All I can think is drowned cat, and then I start giggling.   Overall, I nice issue.   Moving onto twenty six.   But first, I forgot to review Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde #1.
