I wussed out last night and opted for sleep :(
Anyway, here, have a quote:
"Then Maya lifted her head, frowning at something inside the planetarium. Emily followed her eyes to a shadowy figure, staring straight at them."
Unless Maya's eyes ejected from her head, and went to the figure, then this is not correct. Eyes are not gazes.
And weird stuff happens with eyes in tradpubbed novels, too.
