Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

What a way to end a series!

Daredevil, Volume 7 - Jason Copland, Javier Rodriguez, Chris Samnee, Mark Waid

Maybe I'm happy because I bought the first issue of the next series, and it had the same writer and artist team, and was amazing.   Or maybe it's because I didn't really get the background here, and now I do, and some things just make more sense.

Or maybe it's because if a series I loved had to end, yeah, it had to end like this.   With a really shocking end, that took my breath away.   Waid just gets Daredevil, and while I wasn't fond of the art style at first, it's growing on me.   I've also been spoiled by the Maleev run on Daredevil, so any artist after that has to work pretty damn hard to wow me more than that.

Either way, this was a fine way to wrap up everything they needed to, and everything was just more spot on: the characterizations, the action, the tying up of loose ends, it all happened here.

So much fun!
