Grimlock ♥ Ultra Magnus

I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.

Fantastic fantasy/science fiction mashup!

Amulet, Vol. 1: The Stonekeeper - Kazu Kibuishi

First of all, I got the first six volumes free for the Kindle.   I hate the Kindle online reader for comics, so I'm reading these on my Kindle Paperwhite.   Which means no color, which means it's not the ideal way in which to read these, but there you go.

It doesn't even matter.   The drawings are charming, and I love the storyline.   Emily and Navin have to save their mother when they get dragged into this mystical world.   That has robots.   And elves.

And robots.   Charmingly grumpy robots, even.   And apparently Transformers at some point.   It's cute, it's a well built world, and I can't wait to see where it's going.
