I'm a well read grad student who's bluntly honest about all things, although I try to be most honest about myself.
It goes out with a bang: this is the final volume in Cable and X-Force, and it lives up to the previous volumes. It ties everything together, gives us a nice ending, and the final two volumes are a tie-in with Uncanny X-Force, along with a familiar villain. And a familiar hero.
It's a little more epic, and Hope really does come into her own in this, making all the right decisions, even when everyone is afraid she'll succumb to rage and hate and revenge. She's on her own for a while, and yes, needs rescuing - but a male hero also falls to the villain and is trapped with her. He actually needs rescue more than she does!
The banter and fights between the X-Forces are fun to watch, as they navigate a situation they know very little about. It takes all of them finally working it out, and working together, to save both their teammates.
I'd have loved to see more of this series, but sometimes a series knows just how to end. Count this amongst them. I'm very happy with how it ended, and plan on finishing Soule's She-Hulk now.
